Why have we created a Membership Plan for Children?
Principal dentist, Dr Slade was motivated to create a children’s dental plan after reading a growing number of reports that tooth decay is the most common reason 6-10 year olds are admitted to hospital in the UK.
At the start of 2023, more than 12,000 under-18s were on waiting lists for assessment or treatment at Community Dental Service (CDS) providers, data obtained by the Liberal Democrats from the NHS Business Services Authority.
Our membership supports a preventative approach to your child’s dental health requirements and encourages regular attendance so that we can detect potential concerns before they manifest.
What is included in the plan?
Monthly payment of £13 or just 44p per day

Fluoride Treatments
The purpose of fluoride treatments is to strengthen and protect teeth against tooth decay. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that can be applied as a topical treatment at the dentist’s office or through fluoride toothpaste and mouth rinses. When applied in a controlled manner, fluoride helps to: strengthen the outer layer of teeth (enamel) by making it more resistant to acid attacks from plaque bacteria and acidic foods and drinks; reverse early cavities as well as prevent future cavities.
Dental Sealants
It’s a protective coating typically applied to the chewing surfaces of molars and premolars, which are more prone to cavities due to their uneven surfaces and difficulty in thorough cleaning. The purpose of dental sealants is to create a physical barrier that seals off the deep grooves and crevices of these teeth, preventing food particles and bacteria from getting trapped and causing decay. By effectively sealing these vulnerable areas, dental sealants help reduce the risk of cavities, particularly in children who may not have developed optimal oral hygiene habits or have difficulty reaching these areas with their toothbrushes. This simple and painless procedure can significantly contribute to maintaining a child’s oral health and preventing the need for more invasive dental treatments in the future.
